i worked in the california system and i know what i am talking about. but it is a good system. i did not mean to be procured. the new what they were doing. the system was quite strong. -- i did not mean to be pejorative. what the public needs from the system is very different now than it was years ago. i'd think we still need to have a system. some might argue against that. one of my greatest concerns in public higher education, particularly across higher education now, ask to do with the historic fire wall between governments and institutions over academic policy. there are all kinds of things happening and it is not happening and it is not
